This beautiful framed floral photograph was taken by award winning photographer, Louisa Peacock.
Louisa says: 'There is something about the in-between moments for me that encourages me to stand still and savour the present. This simple, soft rose, seemingly dancing in the wind, in between exposures, captures that essence of the 'just before' judgement sets in. Of time standing still and where you can gaze into yourself and know who you are without fear of opinion. It's not the final, finished pose of the flower that does it, it's the grappling in-between different compositions, different lights, different structures - it's this dance between opposites that I'm really interested in exploring. For me this flower is soft and beautiful on its own but due to my careful editing treatment and the painterly way it was captured using my macro portrait lens, it also suggests there is so much more to what meets the eye. Again, it's about embracing all of you and begs the question, what is fully you? Can there ever be just one version of inner beauty or are there several? Can we be all of these at the same time or must we surrender to just one in this modern world? This piece of work explores how we can truly accept all of ourselves and set ourselves free. Medium - Photography - Canon R6 180mm, f32, 1/80, natural light and the piece measures 40.6cm x 30.5cm'
