We are thrilled to announce our second open call for artists to participate in a special exhibition celebrating the beauty of the detail in our world. The exhibition, titled 'Small is Beautiful,' will showcase the works of UK artists who capture the beauty that resides in life's small moments.

Submissions are open to artists working in all mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, and more. Artists are encouraged to submit up to three pieces of work that reflect the theme of 'Small is Beautiful.'

The exhibition will run from 1st-30th April at Happy & Glorious, on Burgate in Canterbury. A private view will be held on 4th April from 6pm to 8pm, and friends and family of artists are welcome to attend.

We accept submissions from all over the country; if you can get your work to us safely and arrange collection, we would be delighted to consider it. All accepted works will be available for purchase, and Happy & Glorious will take a 45% commission on all sales. H&G will also cover the cost of shipping and delivery for sold works.

Submission deadline is 23rd February 2025. To submit your work, please complete the online submission form. The submission fee is £10 per piece of work.

About 'Small is Beautiful'

Our exhibition 'Small is Beautiful' celebrates the beauty in the details of life. We encourage submissions that capture the subtle beauty in everyday objects, the intricate details of nature, or the precious moments of life.

  • Submission deadline: 23rd February
  • Notification of successful entries - 9th March
  • Drop-off or delivery period: 13th - 16th March
  • Exhibition dates - 1st - 30th April
  • Private view: 4th April from 6pm - 8pm
  • Collection of unsold work: 5th - 11th May

 Submission Guidelines

  • Artist Limit: Up to three submissions per artist
  • Submission Fee: £10 per submission
  • Framed Requirement: All submissions must be framed (if applicable) and ready for hanging.
  • Media Restrictions: All media submissions are welcome.
  • Commission Rate: 45% on all sales.
  • Shipping and Delivery: Happy & Glorious will cover the shipping and delivery of sold works.

Submission Payments

  • Payment Amount: £10 per submission
  • Maximum Submissions: 3 per artist
  • Payment Method: Online payment through bank transfer (details in the application form) or via PayPal paypal.me/happygloriousltd 
  • Payment Reference: Include your name and the number of submissions (e.g., "Eleanor Jones 3")
  • Framed Submission Image: Please include the frame in the images of your artwork.

 Submission Process

  1. Complete the Submission Form: Fill out the submission form.
  2. Make the Submission Fee Payment: Make the payment of £10 per submission via bank transfer as indicated in the form or by PayPal at  paypal.me/happygloriousltd 

Selection Notification

You will receive notification by 9th March 2025 if your submission has been accepted. Selection is based on artistic merit and how well the artwork aligns with the exhibition theme. We regret that due to the high volume of submissions, we cannot provide individual feedback on unsuccessful submissions.
